Overview
The Center for Jewish-Inclusive Learning invites K–12 ELA and Social Studies teachers, curriculum specialists, and instructional leads to deepen their understanding of the complex and often misunderstood story of the Jewish people from its ancient roots to the present day and to delve into how this story shows up in their classrooms.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop their foundational knowledge and then build upon it through one of five breakout workshops on specific topics based on area of interest.
Good to Know
Audience: This program is specifically designed for educators who are new to the subjects of Jewish identity and history. Background knowledge on these topics is not necessary for participation.
Benefits: This full-day program is offered free of charge and is eligible for five CTLE credit hours.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be served.
Location: This conference will be held in the Union Square area of Manhattan. Exact address will be shared with registrants after their registration is processed.

Breakout Workshops
Participants will select their preferences for breakout workshops during registration. These 90-minute workshops will take place in the afternoon to allow participants to develop their background knowledge during the morning plenary session prior to focusing on their specific area of interest. While participants can select up to two of preferred sessions, they will only be assigned one of those, as they will run simultaneously.
